Calendari d'Advent

Hola!

Aquest any i per primer vegada, ja tinc a punt el calendari d'Advent! 

Ja feia temps que me'n volia cosir un (de fet, era un projecte de la meva llista pel 2014!), 

però fins aquest any no ha sigut possible. 

La idea inicial era fer-lo tot jo partint de zero, però a l'estiu del 2015 en un viatge per Anglaterra, 

vam parar a la ciutat de Durham i allà, en ple agost vaig veure el panell que seria el meu futur calendari d'Advent! 

Només he tardat un any i mig més en fer-lo, i sort que només havia de retallar i cosir! :-)

I avui que comença oficialment l'Advent (ja que són els quatre diumenge abans de Nadal), l'he acabat! 

Ara només em falta omplir-lo de regals i xocolatines! :-)

This year and for the first time, I have ready my Advent calendar!

It was a had a long time that I wanted to sew one (in fact, it was a project of my list for the 2014!), 

but until this year it has not been possible.

The first idea was to make it all from my own, but on a trip to England in the summer of 2015 

we stopped in the city of Durham and there it was! 

In the middle of August I saw the panel that would be my future Advent calendar! 

It only took me a year and a half to do it, and I only had to cut and sew! 

And today, that officially begins Advent (which are the four Sundays before Christmas) I've finished it! 

I'm now ready to fill my calendar with small gifts and sweets!

Una costura ràpida...

Avui us ensenyo una costura ràpida, d'aquelles que comences i acabes en una mateixa tarda.

Crec que tota principiant ha fet un coixí als seus inicis, oi? 

Doncs aquest és el que ha fet la meva germana Elena, 

que ja sabeu que s'està iniciant en aquest meravellós món! :-)

Today I show you a quick sewing project, one that begins and ends in one afternoon.

I think that every beginner has sewn a pillow to start, right?

So, this is my sister's Elena pillow,

you know that she is new in this wonderful sewing world! :-)

Traient la pols a les nines de retallar...

Hola!

Quan era petita m'agradava molt jugar a les nines de retallar. Com en gaudia!

Crec que les primeres que vaig tenir me les van regalar quan vaig estar malalta
 i em van portar a casa els avis, devia tenir uns sis anys...

Tenia a totes les nines batejades amb el nom escrit al darrere
(la Lolita, l'Elena, la Núria, els bessons Teodor i Carolina, la Laia...)
i cadascuna tenia el seu sobre amb els seus vestits.
I al darrere de cada vestit també hi tenia escrit el nom de la nina a qui pertanyia el vestit.

He decidit recuperar-les de dalt de tot d'un armari per forrar el carpesà
on hi guardo les idees de costura, dibuixos, plantilles, algun patró...

Aquesta manualitat no té cap secret però m'ha fet il·lusió compartir-ho al blog,
em porta molt bons records, i vés a saber, potser us he donat alguna idea
o potser vosaltres ja heu fet alguna altra manualitat amb les nines de retallar...

El carpesà l'he forrat amb un patró vell, desaparellat d'una Burda, i la Lolita i els seus vestits.

La Lolita era la meva preferida :-)
que de tant jugar-hi està apedaçada amb cinta adhesiva, com moltes altres nines...

When I was little I loved to play with paper dolls. I really enjoyed it!
I think I got my first paper doll when I was six 
and my parents brought me at my grandparent's place because I was ill. 

All my paper dolls had their name written on their back 
(Lolita, Elena, Núria, the twins Teodor and Carolina, Laia...) 
and each had an envelope for their dresses and complements. 
And each dress had the name of the doll who belonged to.

I decided to recover my paper dolls to cover the folder 
where I keep my sewing ideas, drawings, templates, patterns...

This craft has no secret but I wanted to share it on the blog because it brings me good memories back, and who knows, maybe I have given you some ideas or maybe you have already done something with your paper dolls. 

I covered the folder with an old pattern and my doll Lolita and her dresses. 

Lolita was my favorite :-)
I played with her so many times that she had to be fixed with tape! 

Necesser impermeable

Hola! 

Us he comentat en algun post anterior que aquest 2016 sembla que sigui l'any oficial dels necessers.

Doncs bé, seguint aquesta temàtica, la meva germana Elena, que ara sí que s'està iniciant a la costura, 

ha fet un necesser xulíssim amb tela plastificada i forro de plàstic i tot! 

Un necesser ideal per anar a la piscina i posar el banyador humit o el gorro de bany i les ulleres, 

o per anar al gimnàs, i guardar els sabons, o el maquillatge...

té mil usos perquè és molt pràctic i fàcil de netejar!

A mi m'ha encantat! I mireu que bé que li ha quedat! ;-)

Well, I told you in a previous post that 2016 seems to be the year of toilet bags. 

So, according to this subject, my sister Elena, who is now starting to sew seriously, 

sewed a bag with plastic fabric and lining!

It's a perfect bag for going to the pool, for your wet swimsuit or bathing cap and goggles, 

or for going to the gym and keep your soap or makeup... 

it has thousands of uses, it's practical and it's easy to clean!
