Bolsos per a tothom!

Hola!

Aquest any, Ses Majestats els Reis d'Orient han fet molts encàrrecs a la meva germana Elena: 

que si uns bolsos, un davantal, un necesser... en fi... que ha tingut molt feina! 

I avui us ensenyo el primer dels encàrrecs, uns bolsos de drapet!

Tots quatre bolsos estan fets de ganxet però amb material diferent. 

Un bolso està fet de llana (el vermell) i els altres tres amb drapet de tela lleugera. 

Aquest drapet és molt més lleguer i fa que la peça no pesi tant com el drapet normal (aquell de cotó, tipus samarreta). 

A mi pels bolsos m'agrada molt més el drapet de tela lleugera, crec que queda més bé. 

I per fer cistelles i catifes em decanto més per l'altre, cada cosa amb el seu material!

Com veieu a les fotos, ha adornat els bolsos amb unes cintes de passamaneria o amb unes borles. 

Tant una opció com l'altre són perfectes perquè quedi un bolso ben elegant. ;-)

El bolso vermell és l'únic que seria un bolso de mà o potser n'hauria de dir clutch? hehehe... :-P

Els altres tres tenen una cadena per portar-lo penjat. 

Ah! I a més, forrats per dins!

Benvingut Anís!

L’Anís va néixer a principis de desembre i la meva germana Elena li va fer un regal de benvinguda.
 El paquet consistia en un conillet de ganxet perquè l’acompanyi a l’hora d’anar a dormir 
i un coixí en forma de núvol perquè tingui dolços somnis. J

Si us pregunteu quin nom és Anís, dir-vos que és un nom persa que vol dir “amic íntim” 
i és un homenatge als orígens de la família de la seva mare.

Benvingut Anís! Que siguis molt feliç!

Anís was born in early December and my sister Elena gave him a welcome gift.
The gift consisted of a bunny amigurumi to accompany him when it's time to go to bed 
and a pillow cloud-shaped for having sweet dreams. J

 If you wonder the origin of the name Anís, it's a Persian name meaning "close friend" 
and it's a tribute to the origins of his mother's family. 

Welcome Anís! I wish you the best in this life!

Merceries a Gal·les i Feliç 2017!

Hola! 
Molt bon any 2017!

Vaig comentar en aquesta entrada que la primera setmana de desembre 
vam fer una escapada a Gal·les i Anglaterra per visitar a la família i fer una mica de turisme.
A part de complir amb l'objectiu del viatge, també vam tenir temps per a visitar 
la preciosa merceria “Guthrie & Ghani” de Birmingham! J 

Però a més, al llarg de la ruta des del nord de Gal·les fins a Birmingham 
ens vam trobar diferents merceries que em va agradar fotografiar i aquí us les ensenyo... ;-)

I avui que és 1 de gener, espero que hàgiu tingut una molt bona entrada a l’any 2017 
i que el nou any que comencem vingui carregat d’imaginació i creativitat!

I desitjo continuar-vos veient per la blogesfera!

Happy New Year 2017!

As I mentioned in this post, at the beginning of December 
we did a trip to Wales and England to visit family and do a little of tourism. 
Apart of fulfillung the purpose of the trip, we also had some time to visit 
the lovely haberdashery "Guthrie & Ghani" in Birmingham! J 

And, on the way down to Birmingham from the North of Wales, 
we found a couple of little and cute haberdasheries where we stopped and took a picture...

And today, January 1st, I wish you all the best for the upcoming 2017!
I hope this new year come loaded with imagination and creativity!

Primera parada/First stop:
CAERNARFON

Petit poble coster amb un impressionant castell medieval molt important per la història i el govern de Gal·les
i just al davant del castell, al Palace Street hi havia aquesta petita merceria.

Small coastal village with an impressive medieval caslte which was very important for the history and government of Wales. Opposite to the castle, in Palace Street there was this little haberdashery.

Bones Festes de Nadal!

Com ja va sent tradició, la meva germana Núria em regala pel meu aniversari 

(que és a principis de mes) la decoració nadalenca de la llar. 

Cada any hi incorpora algun element handmade, 

i aquest cop ha sigut la garlanda de mitjons i cors de feltre. 

Ha completat la decoració amb els saquets de l’any passat i amb un invitat sorpresa!, 

un ratolí molt simpàtic que s’ha instal·lat al costat de la llar per estar ben calentonet. 

I que també ha decorat la seva porteta amb motius nadalencs!

Mireu que eixerit! :-)

As the last few years, my sister Núria gives me for my birthday (at the beginning of the month) a special gift: 

Christmas ornaments for the fireplace.

Every Christmas she includes a new handmade item and this year, 

it was the garland of socks and hearts made by felt.

She has completed the decor with the sacks she used last year and she included a special guest!, 

a lovely mouse that wants to be warm next to the fireplace!

And even the little door was decorated!

Definitively, it's a smart mouse! :-)

La botiga "Guthrie & Ghani" de Birmingham

Hola!

La setmana passada vam aprofitar el súper pont per fer una escapada a Anglaterra i Gal·les
per visitar la família i fer una mica de turisme.

Com que estàvem en un poblet a prop de Birmingham,
era obligatori parar a la bonica i preciosa merceria de la Lauren “Guthrie and Ghani”.

Tenia moltíssimes ganes d’anar-hi i veure-la en directe! J

Segueixo a la Lauren des dels seus inicis i he seguit l’evolució de la seva botiga
fins a convertir-se en el que és ara: un somni per tota costurera.
Ella no hi era perquè està de baixa per maternitat però les noies que l’ajuden són també un encant.

No em vaig poder aguantar de demanar a veure si podia fer algunes fotos. És tant maca! 

M’ho quedaria tot! Al final em vaig comprar dos retalls de tela amb motius nadalencs JJ

Aix... Com m’agradaria que estigués a prop de casa!

Si algun dia teniu la oportunitat, no deixeu d’anar-hi!

Last week we visited England and Wales to visit family and to do a little of countryside sightseeing.

As we were in a village near Birmingham, it was compulsory to stop by 
the beautiful and lovely Lauren’s haberdashery "Guthrie & Ghani”. 

I wanted to stop by for a long time! I follow Lauren since her beginnings, the Sewing Bee, 
the restoration and the evolution of her shop till to become what it is now: a dream for any sewists. 
She wasn't there because she is on maternity leave but the girls who help her are also very charming.

I couldn't help ask her if I could take some pictures. It's really beautiful! I like it all! 
At the end I bought two pieces of fabric with Christmas themes.

I wish it were closer to home! :-)
If you have the opportunity, I really reccomend to stop by.

Calendari d'Advent

Hola!

Aquest any i per primer vegada, ja tinc a punt el calendari d'Advent! 

Ja feia temps que me'n volia cosir un (de fet, era un projecte de la meva llista pel 2014!), 

però fins aquest any no ha sigut possible. 

La idea inicial era fer-lo tot jo partint de zero, però a l'estiu del 2015 en un viatge per Anglaterra, 

vam parar a la ciutat de Durham i allà, en ple agost vaig veure el panell que seria el meu futur calendari d'Advent! 

Només he tardat un any i mig més en fer-lo, i sort que només havia de retallar i cosir! :-)

I avui que comença oficialment l'Advent (ja que són els quatre diumenge abans de Nadal), l'he acabat! 

Ara només em falta omplir-lo de regals i xocolatines! :-)

This year and for the first time, I have ready my Advent calendar!

It was a had a long time that I wanted to sew one (in fact, it was a project of my list for the 2014!), 

but until this year it has not been possible.

The first idea was to make it all from my own, but on a trip to England in the summer of 2015 

we stopped in the city of Durham and there it was! 

In the middle of August I saw the panel that would be my future Advent calendar! 

It only took me a year and a half to do it, and I only had to cut and sew! 

And today, that officially begins Advent (which are the four Sundays before Christmas) I've finished it! 

I'm now ready to fill my calendar with small gifts and sweets!
